Technical Video Production Assistant

We’re a direct-to-client agency offering creative, production, post production, and delivery. Our team create assets that are played out all over the world, across TV, digital, cinema, and OOH for global brands and UK brands in sports, media and entertainment, and other sectors. We’re looking to recruit an experienced Technical Assistant, who can apply the skills they have honed over the years to provide How Now with solid technical support in all aspects of content creation. Specifically responsible for; versioning, video file management, standards and frame rate conversion, encoding of files to client specifications and finalising localised AV content for International broadcast distribution. Other duties will include editing and providing general support to the creative and production departments.  

Responsibilities and Duties


  • Digitising, capturing, wrangling footage from various sources

  • Encoding and transcoding of files to various formats

  • Localisation and re-versioning of content 

  • Finalising content for international/national distribution for broadcast

  • Video Editing

  • Systems and workflow organisation

  • Quality Control


  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects (ideally)

  • Superb attention to detail

  • Knowledge of digital video file format encoding software

  • Editing experience

  • Experience of working with online and broadcast video formats

  • A technical understanding of video and audio signals, and broadcast standards

The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude who is client focused and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to finishing projects to deadlines. The successful applicant will have the ability to cope well under pressure while working in a fast paced environment. In addition to this, the applicant will demonstrate a good attention to detail and have the aptitude and determination to gain new skills and apply them quickly.

Job type: Full-time
Salary: £25-38k. Dependant on experience.
